Adult Attention Deficit Disorder Organization

What is the best way to determine if I have Adult Attention Deficit Disorder?

I'm 47 years old. I think I have deficit of adult attention disorder. This is based on things in my life (not organized as principal, but also unable to complete the project and many others) and my history (the inability to concentrate in school, can not stay with an activity very long). I want to address this problem, but wants to know if they really have AADD. Should I make an appointment with my doctor or should I see a specialist (not sure what kind) or visit an organization that takes care of that? Thanks for your help.

Reading an article on ADHD and make an extended self-test, I am convinced that in fact ADHD. Because I am an adult, I guess also the kind of adults with ADHD. Then I made an appointment with my doctor, and a copy of the test for him. He had his office schedule me an appointment with a specialist in a nearby town. The ADD / ADHD specialist put me in 3-day trial. It was exhausting, but very complete. At the end of the test, I know that yes, he had ADHD. Initially, I was put on Ritalin and it made a big difference in my life. Unfortunately, my heart hates drugs, so now I'm Strattera. This medicine is not so useful, but does not bother my heart. However, such might be better to ask your doctor about a specialist.
